Motorola has taken a timely pop at the Apple iPad 2 queuers, suggesting that people should "ditch the winter coat, head out for a pint and pre-order the Motorola Xoom online instead". In a tongue in cheek response to the building hype around the iPad 2 launch tomorrow, Moto has suggested that the Spring sunshine is far too good to waste in a queue outside of an Apple store. "Not keen to waste the finest weather we've had in ages waiting in a queue?" the release asks. Mundane "Idea of surviving overnight on mundane take-away with some frankly questionable queue buddies leave you cold?" It continues "Fear not friends, ditch the winter coat, head out for a pint and pre-order your Motorola Xoom online instead!" Of course, Motorola has already told TechRadar that Apple is a fine rival to have in the tablet market , and it's clearly aware that tomorrow's press will be dominated with fruity longings. But you can't blame them for poking a little fun at the hype.
